JANET LIU

Jianan Liu, known as Janet, is a passionate chef and entrepreneur with a background in both finance and the culinary arts. She graduated from the National College of Ireland in 2015 and began her career at State Street as a fund accountant in 2016. Despite a strong start in the financial sector, her love for food led her to make a bold career change in 2020. Believing that life is too short not to pursue one's passion, she left her job to follow her true calling in the culinary world.

Since 2020, Janet has been the proud owner and operator of an Asian food stall at Eatyard, specializing in dumplings, fried chicken, and bao buns. Her deep-rooted family history in the food industry has always been a driving force behind her enthusiasm for cooking and sharing authentic Asian flavors.

In 2022, she won first place on the TV show Takeaway Titans, triumphing over 15 top restaurants from Ireland and Northern Ireland. This achievement further solidified her commitment to excellence in the food industry.

In addition to running her food stall, Janet is also a culinary instructor at the Dublin Cookery School, where she teaches Chinese cuisine. She is dedicated to bringing authentic Chinese food culture to Ireland and sharing her culinary heritage with a wider audience.

She looks forward to serving delicious, authentic Asian cuisine and sharing her passion for food with others.
